Taiwanese Popcorn Chicken in Air Fryer

    Cut chicken thighs into bite-sized pieces.

    In a bowl, marinate the chicken pieces with soy sauce, grated ginger, minced garlic, sugar, Shaoxing wine, five-spice powder, white pepper, and MSG. Mix well and let sit for at least 30 minutes.

    Preheat the air fryer.

    Add marinated chicken pieces to the air fryer basket in a single layer.

    Air fry the chicken at 180°C (356°F) for about 15-20 minutes or until golden and crispy, shaking halfway through the cooking time.

    Once cooked, remove from air fryer and garnish with fried Taiwanese basil leaves before serving.
